Shelflife & Fiction present:
“THE FABRIC OF TIME” supported by CASIO G-SHOCK
With International DJ ALI B (UK) + a custom G-SHOCK art exhibition
On Friday 6th of May, the Cape Town bar & club “Fiction” was host to an epic night of highest calibre music & artist entertainment this side of the universe! With Shelflife Store & Casio G-Shock providing a unique custom G-Shock “ watch art” exhibition and Dj Ali B (a resident from Fabric in London) spinning his signature beats...this unique club & art event was massive hit & definitely was one for the history books!
5 established Cape Town artists, comprising of 3 graffiti artists, 2 graphic designers/ illustrators each painted or customised artistically directly onto a G-SHOCK watch as a “canvas” to exhibit & sell on the opening night, in addition supplied 3 unique A4 size paintings/ works to exhibit & sell. Each artist was allocated a wall and “perspex display case” to customize in their own interpretation of the theme theme: “FABRIC OF TIME”, The art itself will remain on display for the entire month of May.
Artist included DR.ZVLV, TOE, FERS*YNDICATE, DANIEL TING CHONG & SLATE
The art watches will be on sale at SHELFLIFE STORE after opening night 6TH MAY 2011.
